In order to broker a deal, you’ve got to be able to manage expectations. The expectations of the parties on the hiring side and the candidate side, and the expectation of how both parties interact with the recruiter. Making sure that an opportunity is win-win for all parties is at the heart of any successful business arrangement, and this cannot be done without managing the expectations of all involved.
